Wolves Academy link up with New Park Village

Wolves and New Park Village have joined in partnership to help find and develop male and female footballers in the Wolverhampton area.

New Park Village is a Wolverhampton based organisation that uses football as a tool to enable young people to achieve their full potential.

New Park Village create pathways for players, but also for young coaches to help them achieve their ambition. In total, they have eight teams, starting from the age group under-6, and a mini kickers team too, aimed for ages four to six.

Like the club’s Arden Forest link, this new partnership will see Wolves Academy staff provide regular CPD opportunities across all departments in collaboration with New Park Village, to enhance the development of local players within the Wolverhampton area.

This partnership is a result of a number of years of hard work behind the scenes on both sides and is aimed at increasing chances without the local Wolverhampton community.

On the partnership, Jack Maydew of Wolves Academy said: “We are delighted to join forces with New Park Village Football Club, who are not only a fantastic club, but are also in the heart of Wolverhampton.

“New Park Village hold a fantastic reputation within our community and for this reason we feel very privilege to be able to work closely for many years to come. They have produced a lot of players throughout the years, so we want to maintain that close relationship and, between us, produce even more players for Wolves Academy.”

Joe Jackson, managing director of New Park Village, said: “I’m absolutely delighted that the club are now official partners with Wolves. There's been some fantastic work carried out between the Wolves Academy department and NPV Football Development over the last four years, which has enabled Wolves to sign a number of local boys. This partnership arrangement is a massive step in the right direction for a community club like ours.”
