Wolves partner with Momentum Academy in Zimbabwe

Wolves have partnered with Momentum Academy in Harare, Zimbabwe, to further the club’s football development expansion.

As part of the agreement, Wolves will share the club’s philosophy and curriculum on recreational and developmental level and provide online coaching education.

Wolves coaches will also travel to Zimbabwe every year to deliver development and recreational camps, with Golden Chance opportunities being presented in the future.

Also, staff will bring groups of young players from Zimbabwe to Wolverhampton to experience the club’s facilities, meet the staff and train at Compton Park.

Shawn Briscoe, international football development manager at Wolves, said: “Everyone at Wolves is incredibly excited about this new partnership with Momentum Academy. Football has a unique power to connect communities and create opportunity, and through this collaboration we’re proud to support the growth of the game in Zimbabwe.

“At its heart, this partnership is about sharing knowledge, developing young talent, and building pathways that can inspire the next generation both on and off the pitch. Momentum Academy are doing fantastic work at grassroots level, and we’re looking forward to working closely together to help young players realise their potential and create lasting impact within their communities.”

Fidelis Mashonga, Momentum Academy director, added: “Wolves bring Premier League pedigree, elite coaching methodology, and a proven tradition of global player development. For Momentum Academy, this collaboration is far more than a milestone. It is a strategic elevation of our football ecosystem. Zimbabwe has an abundance of talent, yet our systems and pathways have often struggled to match that potential.

“Working with Wolves gives our players and coaches direct access to international standards, structured development frameworks, and genuine pathways that can redefine what is possible for young athletes in our country. This partnership strengthens our mission to build a disciplined, scalable, and internationally competitive grassroots system that can influence the future of Zimbabwean football in a meaningful and lasting way.”
