Second fan consultation held regarding Wolves’ 150th anniversary

Preparations for Wolves’ 150th anniversary preparations are beginning to ramp up ahead of the 2026/27 season, with a second fan consultation event having taken place at Molineux last week.

Wolves will be marking 150 years since the club’s formation with a range of special events throughout next season, as well as working with technical kit partner SUDU to create home, away and third kits which will be won by all the Old Gold teams during the anniversary campaign.

Following a first consultation meeting held with fans in March 2025 focusing on the kit design, a second event took place at Molineux recently where more than 30 fans – including representatives from the Fan Advisory Board, Wolves Disabled Supporters Association, 1877 Trust, Golden Black, Her Game Too, Pride In The Pack and club fan focus groups – gathered to discuss a range of topics related to the anniversary.

This second consultation saw staff from Wolves’ retail partner, Levy Merchandising, and the club’s marketing team lead discussions around the anniversary fanwear and the anniversary events and engagement activities which will be carried out during next season.

Todd Newton, Wolves’ senior marketing manager, said: “The consultation meeting reinforced just how much this anniversary means to our fans – and how strongly they want to be part of it.

“The 150th is a huge moment for the club, and we want to create meaningful experiences that allow supporters to play their part and leave something future generations can be proud of.

“It was great to hear directly from fans about the kinds of events, content and matchday experiences they’d love to see as part of the celebrations. Our next step now is to look at how we can bring some of those ideas to life.”

Various ideas were put forward by the supporters in attendance, as the meeting helped shape a calendar of events and engagements that will be carried out throughout a season which will see the club celebrate the 150th anniversary.

There were also suggestions for fanwear, souvenirs, keepsakes and merchandise which will be created by Levy Merchandising to commemorate the occasion.

Joe Poole, Levy’s head of partnerships, added: “Fan consultation is hugely important to us, especially for such a special year in the club's history. It was a pleasure to be part of this event and listen to fans talk passionately about their ideas and important moments over the last 150 years.

“We certainly took a lot from it and cannot wait to launch some amazing merchandise for fans to commemorate 150 years of such a special club.”

As with the first fan consultation meeting, the second event proved to be another extremely productive evening as the club continues its preparations for the 150th anniversary celebrations.
