Wolves Express | Edwards reflects on time in charge so far

Monday's episode of Wolves Express brings an extended interview from men's head coach Rob Edwards and a catch up with his Wolves Women counterpart Dan McNamara.

Edwards has sat down with the Premier League this week to reflect on his time in charge of the Old Gold so far, as he reveals some of the biggest challenges and successes following his return to Molineux.

The head coach talks about the 'black cloud' which was hanging over Wolves when he first took on the reins towards the end of 2026, the long process of trying to turn the club around, how it was never going to be a quick fix and why he is looking forward to the future for the gold and black.

Edwards also shares what he has tried to do during his tenure so far after the team improved following his arrival, but also notes the difficult test which faces the side over the remainder of the season, beginning with a trip to Elland Road to face Leeds United this weekend.

Wolves Women head coach McNamara also joins the podcast as he gives his thoughts on Sunday's come from behind win over Stoke City which left the team just one point behind leaders Burnley heading into the final weekend of the season in a fortnight's time.

McNamara felt his team didn't start well against the Potters but was pleased with the way they were able to turn it around after the opening half an hour to take the league title decider to the final game of the campaign.

With a cup final against Rugby Borough to come this weekend, McNamara believes what his players have achieved this season is 'unbelievable' as they could still secure silverware and a place in the WSL 2 for the first time in the club's history before the season is out.

Listeners can also hear women's midfielder Chloe Williams' thoughts on the win against Stoke and how she has progressed in her first season back in gold and black.

Released three times a week – every Monday, Wednesday and Friday – Wolves Express is packed with news, updates and exclusive interviews on both the playing and non-playing side of the club, complementing other offerings of the Official Wolves Podcast and Matchday Live Extra.
