Hear from Wolves Women head coach Dan McNamara after he made his first raft of signings ahead of the team's debut season in professional football following promotion to WSL 2.
It's been a busy summer for McNamara as he begins to shape his team for the beginning of a debut WSL 2 season after securing promotion in the play-off final last term, bringing professional women's football to Wolves for the first time in the club's history.
As well as signing many of last season's star performers to professional contracts, McNamara has also brought in his first two signings to Compton Park, as former Liverpool defender Jasmine Matthews and ex-Lioness - and childhood Wolves supporter - Mel Lawley.
McNamara joins the podcast to chat about his new additions, how they are expected to raise the standards of an already talented group, why their experience in WSL 2 will be vital to a Wolves side who have not played in the league before and how Lawley being a Wolves fan helped bring the 12-time England international to the club.
There is also a chat with designer and Wolves supporter Archie Hicklin who has been working alongside the club over the last 12 months to bring Wolves' 150th anniversary to life with a variety of unique creations.
His 'WW 150' lock-up can already be seen on the back of the new home shirt, while Hicklin has also created a range of designs and fonts which will be used by Wolves throughout the 2026/27 season.
Hicklin explains how he got his inspiration from his dad's collection of memorabilia from Wolves' centenary celebrations in 1977, delving through matchday programmes from across the years, working with Wolves Museum and club historian Pete Crump and the pride he has of seeing his designs come to life.
Released regularly during the off-season, Wolves Express is packed with news, updates and exclusive interviews on both the playing and non-playing side of the club, complementing other offerings of the Official Wolves Podcast and Matchday Live Extra.
