Goalkeeper | Michael Oakes
Always felt he was a good goalkeeper when I first started watching and he was unfortunate to be replaced by Paul Jones in the Premier League season. That was an unenviable job that season, especially after losing Matt Murray to injury. We’ve had some pretty good goalkeepers over the years.
Defender | Jackie McNamara
Shame we only got to see him in small doses at the end of his career and with a poor injury record, but whenever he did play, he was a class act. Top class player who I would’ve loved to have seen at Wolves in his prime.
Midfielder | Jack Price
Had a massive soft spot for Price when he came into one of my favourite Wolves teams of my lifetime. Did so much of the dirty work in midfield, keeping things ticking over in possession, then always covering out of possession. Still think he deserved more praise.
Forward | Dean Sturridge
I’m too young to really remember exactly why, but Dean Sturridge was the name I had on my first Wolves shirt as a kid. I remember loving his pace and seeing him wheel away in celebration with a smile on his face. Never really mentioned much among Old Gold strikers but helped me fall in love with Wolves.
Manager | Kenny Jackett
I always think back to what a mess we were in after the double relegation and what a tough job that was at the time. He made some really tough decisions, but Jackett got everything back on track. Did an unbelievable job to set up the success that followed.

For all the big wins against our more traditional rivals and the big boys in the Premier League, that was a special away day. Revenge after the awful loss at Molineux earlier in the season, a massive away following and an absolutely dominant win just down the road. Superb.
Season | 2014/15
The League One season could well be my favourite as a Wolves fan for a variety of reasons, but the 2014/15 season was a continuation of that momentum. We fell just short in the play-off battle but Dicko, Afobe, Sako was a joy to watch. What football is all about.
Shirt | 2003/04 away
Everyone always talks about the home kit, but the black away kit was a beauty. The Doritos sponsor was iconic, the black with orange trim screamed Wolves and the simple design was really effective. Shame it didn’t win more games!
