Maximilian Kilman has called on Wolves to use their point at Burnley on Tuesday night as a momentum builder for the final eight games of the season.
The Old Gold came from behind to earn a point at Turf Moor thanks to Rayan Ait-Nouri’s header and had chances to win it, while remaining thankful to Jose Sa for making big saves at the other end. No player on the pitch made more clearances than the Wolves skipper’s ten on the night, and now he’s looking to take the positives into a return to Molineux against West Ham United on Saturday.
On a useful point on the road
“We showed a lot of character, even in the games before we’ve been showing character, we were unfortunate on Saturday, and on Tuesday we showed a lot of heart. We carried on and maybe could have won the game in the end, but a point is not a bad result, and we need to take it into Saturday.
“We have lots of injuries, so to still galvanise the boys together and work hard, with some good play, we just need to keep it going. We’ve got a short squad, so we have to take this point and there’s a lot of positives to take.”

On coping with Burnley’s threat
“It was a tough game, but there’s lot of games like that. In different games, different Premier League teams have different styles of play, so it was a tough one to deal with, but the matter is that we didn’t lose, and we go again.”
On different defensive set ups used
“It was good [alongside Toti]. We’ve got a really good defence, lots of great players, and whoever I play with I’m enjoying it and just need to keep going. The manager’s made us very tactically aware this season and we change a lot through games, and Tuesday was another one.”
On taking the result into Saturday
“We’ll be back at home, and it’s been a fortress this season, so we need to make sure we keep on top of that and go for it.
“We need to build from these games. We’ve got eight more tough games to come but we need to make sure we’re ready. We’ve got a few injuries, but some of the boys are coming back so we need to make sure we’re ready.”
