Jean-Ricner Bellegarde’s stunning strike against Nottingham Forest has been nominated for the Guiness Goal of the Month award for August 2024.
Just two minutes after Wolves fell behind at the City Ground on Saturday afternoon, the Frenchman provided the instant reply, as he fired an unstoppable shot from 25 yards out into the top corner.

Searching for a quick response to Chris Wood’s headed opener, Bellegarde was able to capitalise on Mario Lemina winning possession back inside the Forest half moments later, before taking one touch to set himself up and a second seeing the ball blast beyond the reach of Matz Sels in the Forest net.
