Carlos Forbs says he has more to show after receiving his first significant Wolves opportunity against Liverpool on Saturday evening.
The winger was brought on after 52 minutes at Molineux and played his part in Wolves’ equaliser when his shot inadvertently fell to Rayan Ait-Nouri to tuck home. The summer signing from Ajax was lively throughout and had a chance to make it 2-2 before his effort was blocked behind, and having given a glimpse of what he’s about, Forbs is now keen to show the Molineux faithful even more.
On having a chance to impress
“Yeah, it was good. Obvious, I have a lot more to show, but I did well, we did well overall, we’re just a bit upset with the result, but we’ll bounce back next week and hopefully get the three points next week.”
On not getting the results they deserve
“We got unlucky with the result. There's a lot of good stuff, but we just have to try and be more clinical and try to make clearer chances and get better results.
“It’s the Premier League, and especially against a side like Liverpool, we have to be switched on all the time.”
On a change in mentality
“That's what we tried to do [change the mentality]. We knew Liverpool are a tough side, a good side, and we tried to show that on the pitch. And that's what we did, and we just got unlucky with the result. We didn't give up and we stayed together.”
On not blaming the tough fixtures
“We could say so, but I think we got unlucky with the results, last week [against Villa], the week before that [against Newcastle], but it's no excuse, we're not getting results, and we just have to do better.”
