Rodrigo | 'I will give everything of myself to help the team'

After making his first start for Wolves since the opening game of the Premier League season in Saturday’s win over Fulham, Rodrigo Gomes insists he is giving his all to Wolves, regardless of how many minutes he is on the pitch.

The winger returned to the starting 11 to help Gary O’Neil’s side claim their first away win of the campaign, and having to settle for cameo appearances off the bench in recent months, the Portuguese was happy to be back playing 90 minutes in Old Gold.

On three points at Fulham

“It was a big performance from the team. A big win for one against Fulham away, and a big win for us, for our confidence.

“But we need to keep going, keep improving ourselves and prepare for Bournemouth now.”

On a first away win since February

“We go into every game wanting to win, and thankfully in this game, we did win. It was very good for us.

“It's very difficult to play outside [of Molineux], away from home, because the [opposition] fans make it really difficult, but we played very good today and we showed very good football, and that we are a very good team – but we want more.”

On taking confidence from Southampton win

“We were feeling good. We won at home against Southampton, which gave us more confidence and we entered this game to win.

“It’s very nice for us to win this game, but we are now going to enjoy the win, rest and prepare for Bournemouth, hoping to win again.”

On a first Premier League start since August

“It was very good for me, it's a pleasure play here, play for Wolves and play in the Premier League, so I will give everything in every game.

“If I play 90 minutes, if I play five minutes, I will give everything of myself to help the team.”

On extending unbeaten run to four matches

“We are going to keep working to make the four into five. We’ll keep going, keep working and that's it.”
