Pablo Sarabia says Wolves need to enjoy days like Sunday, as Premier League survival was confirmed with a fifth win in a row in the top flight.
The Spaniard came off the bench to whip an inch-perfect free-kick into the top corner to secure the Premier League double over Manchester United, on the latest enjoyable afternoon under the stewardship of Vitor Pereira.
Speaking about his free-kick post-match, Sarabia admitted it followed daily practice on the training pitch, but he was keen to focus on the achievement of winning a fifth successive match to move up to 15th in the table.
On another big win on the road
“Very, very happy for this win today, and for me, as well. We are fighting every single game. We're trying our best and improving a lot. It was a very, very difficult season for us, and we are enjoying it now.
“It’s five victories in a row, and because of this we are very happy. We are building a very good team. It’s a very good day for us, for the club, for my teammates and everything, and we’re going to celebrate together.”
On his brilliant free-kick
“I'm very happy for me, for the team. I think it is the best way for us, five victories in a row is massive for us. And I'm happy for that for the coach and for my teammates as well. We have to celebrate today, because this is the most important for the club.
“I try to train in every single day [on free-kicks]. I think it is the key to improve every single day and today I could see this.”
On the season turning around
“I think this team needed a change, because at the beginning of the season we didn't find the best for us in terms of confidence in ourselves and everything. With Vitor, I think something changed, the spirit and the capacity of the team is, of course, very good. It’s the key.”
On enjoying playing for Wolves
“The most important always is the players are very, very happy on the pitch, and because of this it's possible to do it on the pitch.”
