Having arrived at their Algarve base on Thursday night, Vitor Pereira’s group wasted no time getting on the training pitches for double sessions.
Following an overcast start to the morning, the sun came out as the players left the gym and took to the pitch for session number one.
It meant the likes of Jose Sa, Matt Doherty and Jorgen Strand Larsen trained with the group for this first time this summer, having linked up with the group in Portugal.
Following a series of fitness tests and drills involving small goals, the group stopped for lunch, before returning to the gym for a second session in the early evening.
That session proved even tougher, with running drills, rondos and small sided campaigns pushing the players to their limit.
Destination Portugal.
