Lima | 'I'm very happy here'

Pedro Lima says he’s grown a lot as a player during his first season with Wolves and is enjoying being in an around the group constantly during pre-season.

The Brazilian, who only turned 19 in July, is on the back of a first season at Molineux and feels he’s developed from his six first-team appearances on the pitch, and from being around a Premier League environment constantly.

The youngster is with Vitor Pereira’s group in Spain, preparing for Sunday’s pre-season fixture with Girona, and having conducted his first ever English interview off the training pitch, he explained how he’s living a dream being in the Premier League.

On the new season preparations

“It’s very hard. It’s preparation for the game against Girona, and pre-season is really hard. We’re always working hard because we need to be ready for the next season in the Premier League.”

On coping with the conditions

“For me, it's normal, because in Brazil it’s like here, but for the other guys it’s a little bit difficult because it's too hot, and more tiring. The last pre-season in Marbella was hotter. It’s similar, but here there’s more rain. In Brazil there’s no rain. In the summer it’s too hot, in the north of Brazil it’s too hot.”

On being settled at Wolves

“I'm very happy here because it's a dream. I’m living a dream. When I was young, I dreamt to be here. I’m enjoying it every time, in the hotel, at the training ground, on the pitch, outside the pitch, with every guy, every player.”

On improving at Wolves

“Every day we train. I listen every day. I’m training on my passing, and the physicality. Every day we train to evolve. It’s step by step, every day.”

On learning the language

“It’s every week, two, three times every week. Now it’s better, I can speak with the English players, and other players I’ll speak Spanish or Portuguese.

“It’s good for me. Last season, I didn’t speak too much because my English was not good. But now I understand, and I can speak. It’s better for me.”
