Guedes makes Wolves exit

Goncalo Guedes has left Wolves in a permanent switch to La Liga side Real Sociedad.

The attacker departs after a three-year association with Wolves, where he made 51 appearances and scored seven goals.

The Portuguese arrived in the summer of 2022 from Valencia and made 18 appearances in the first half of the 2022/23 campaign, scoring against Brighton & Hove Albion and Liverpool, before moving to Benfica on loan in the January.

That loan was the first of three – two at Benfica and one at Villarreal – which kept the Portuguese away from Molineux for 18 months, before his return to the fore last summer.

Over the past year the attacker has been in and around the Old Gold first-team, regularly coming off the bench, and scoring five goals, including the first of the Vitor Pereira era at Leicester City in December.

However, now he moves to Spain in a permanent switch and all at Wolves wish him good luck for the future.
