Fixture release day this week

Wolves will learn their 2026/27 Sky Bet Championship fixtures later this week.

The Old Gold are looking to respond from relegation with promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking and will learn all 46 fixtures at midday on Thursday 25th June.

The Championship begins over the weekend of 14th to 16th August, with the first round of the Carabao Cup coming the weekend prior – 7th to 9th August.

The cup draw also takes place on 25th June, live on Sky Sports News.

More than 1,000 EFL fixtures will be broadcast live on Sky Sports across the campaign, with the first round of selections for August being confirmed by Thursday 2nd July.

The 2026/27 season will be the first where the play-offs in the second tier have been extended from four teams to six – those who finish between 3rd and 8th, with a one-legged quarter final coming before the usual two-legged semi-final and Wembley showpiece.

Wolves are joined in the Championship by Burnley and West Ham United following relegation from the Premier League, while Lincoln City, Cardiff City and Bolton Wanderers take their place in tier two following League One promotion.

The Old Gold were last in the second tier in the 2017/18 season, when Nuno Espirito Santo’s side won the title emphatically, and promotion will once again be the aim this coming year.

Stay tuned to wolves.co.uk and the Wolves App on Thursday at midday to learn the full 2026/27 fixture list.
