Ahead of Wolves' final pre-season friendly of the summer against Racing Santander at Molineux, Cesar Peixoto's side also took on the Spanish outfit in a training match at Compton Park this morning.
With the Old Gold's 2026/27 campaign set to get underway next weekend, the behind closed doors game was arranged to get 90 minutes into the legs of as many members of the first-team squad as possible.
It provided crucial time on the pitch for the likes of Sasa Kalajdzic, Santi Bueno and Ladislav Krejci – who captained the team – following their recent return to training after representing their countries at the World Cup.
The visitors ran out 1-0 winners at Compton ahead of the Molineux friendly at 5pm today, which will also give further minutes to some of the players involved this morning.
