Hugo Bueno was pleased to see Wolves learn from their previous games as they capitalised on moments when they were on top to claim a comfortable 3-0 win over Cardiff City at Molineux.
The left-back played a crucial role as Wolves opened the scoring after 10 minutes, as his delightfully chipped cross was headed home by Fer Lopez, before Adam Armstrong made it two to Wolves five minutes later.
By adding a third in the second half and keeping another clean sheet, Bueno felt the team are getting more and more confident with each game and hopes they can continue this run of form which has seen Wolves claim three wins from their last four matches.
On three points against Cardiff
It was really, really good. I always think that when we lose it’s never that’s everything wrong and when we win it’s not that everything perfect, but I think the team showed a really good spirit.
“We were really aggressive in the first half, we got our chances and two goals, that’s what makes the difference.
“But we have to keep in this line or even better going into Wednesday, but I’m really happy.”

On his involvement in the opening goal
“I think Krejci passed me the ball and with the first touch I was able to get past the first man. I just kept driving and driving until someone came against me.
“I saw Fer doing a little run between the centre-backs and the full-back I just thought ‘I’m going to try to chip it’.
“I didn’t know how it was going to go, but it went perfectly, so that was nice.”
On the timing of the second goal
“It was massive. We struggled in the last games after we scored one goal to try and get the second one, but fortunately we could do it today.
“It’s really good that we are doing these things right and we can get the second goal because then everything is more relaxed, and then in the second half we also got the third one.
“But we have to keep going like this because we know we are capable of doing this, just scoring more and more and more.”
