748 season ticket holders register for free travel offer
Ahead of the new season, Wolves and Transport for West Midlands teamed up to provide a more cost-effective and environmentally friendly form of local transport for supporters.
The West Midlands Bus Scheme was launched exclusively for Wolves season ticket holders and allows those supporters four weeks of free bus travel around the West Midlands.
There have been 748 season ticket holders who have registered for this scheme which will allow them to travel on any bus in the West Midlands bus network for free, during the four-week period.
The offer was launched following results of the fan travel survey earlier this year. The survey findings from over 1,700 fans are now being used to get an updated view on how fans are travelling to matches, improve our carbon footprint calculations and understand how we might be able to influence greener travel. Wolves’ latest carbon footprint data shows that the club’s highest emissions are caused by fan travel.
Wolves Foundation redistribute surplus kit
Wolves Foundation organised a collection of surplus kit and clothing for donation in partnership with redistribution charity His Church.
Wolves Foundation and His Church have been working together since during the pandemic Wolves Foundation are now their biggest football partner.
The donation of kit from Wolves will be distributed all over the world, with plans to send some to an orphanage in Kenya and also to Ukraine and Liberia.
The initiative was part of Wolves Foundation’s Supporting Our Pack campaign, a group of projects which supports people who are vulnerable, from not just across Wolverhampton but also further afield.

Wolves in Hobsons Hedgehog Cup semi finals
After signing up to the Hedgehog Friendly Football League back in March, Wolves have now reached the semi-final stage of the Hobsons Hedgehog Cup.
Wolves pledged to help protect hedgehogs in the wild and encourage fans to make green spaces – from parks to gardens – more biodiverse and welcoming for hedgehogs.
That work has carried the club to the semi-final stage of the Hobsons Hedgehog Cup, where the Old Gold will face Everton, having beaten Aston Villa in the last eight.
