Wolves under-21 secured a 2-1 win over Reading on Sunday to move back into the top 16 in Premier League 2.
Dani Angel scored twice and was then sent off for the Old Gold before Reece Evans pulled one back late on for the Royals with first team boss Rob Edwards watching on at Compton Park.
In a game of few chances, there was little action between the two sides until Angel opened the scoring just after the half-hour mark. Luke Rawlings' delivery to the back post was flicked back into danger by Ethan Sutherland, with Angel there to turn the ball home after Finn Ashworth's deft header.
Barely a minute later, Angel doubled his and Wolves' tally with another close range finish. This time, Sutherland's free-kick from the left hand side drifted towards the far post where Harvey Griffiths played the ball back across goal for Angel to emphatically finish.

Wolves had hoped to come out for the second half with momentum from Angel's quickfire brace, but the Wolves forward was shown a red card just six minutes into the second period for kicking out at Reading captain Philip Duah off the ball.
Nonetheless, it was James Collins' side who came closest to the next goal in the game as Saheed Olagunju crashed a header wide from Edozie's corner just minutes after they were reduced to ten.
Despite their man advantage, Reading rarely troubled Wolves keeper Alfie Brooks until three minutes of normal time remaining. Substiture Seb Lochhead was adjudged to have fouled Joe Barough on the byline with the referee duly pointing to the spot. Reece Evans stepped up to convert the spot kick, though the Old Gold held on for their first win Premier League 2 win in five matches.
