Goalkeeper James Storer has signed for League One side Plymouth Argyle, ending an eight-year association with the club that saw him progress through the academy from the age of 13.
The 21-year-old shot stopper, who has over 100 career appearances to his name at various clubs, spent last season in Scotland with Greenock Morton, where he played 32 times across league and cup competitions.
Standing at six-foot-five, Storer signed a full scholarship in July 2021 after arriving from Port Vale as a youngster and went on to feature heavily for the under-18s and under-21s sides.
Storer gained further experience on loan at Chester recently in the National League North, whilst also being capped at Ireland under-19 level during his time with the Old Gold.
Academy director Jon Hunter-Barrett said: “Jimmy joined Wolves at eight years ago as part of our full-time training model and has been a fantastic example of what can be achieved through hard work, commitment and a willingness to learn.
“It has been great to see his development, both on and off the pitch, during his time with us. Everyone at Wolves Academy wishes Jimmy every success in the future and we look forward to following his journey.”
Everyone at Wolves wish James the very best for the future.
