Wolves Women will kick off their 2023/24 season away at Derby County after the fixtures for their latest FAWNL Northern Premier Division campaign were revealed.
Dan McNamara’s side narrowly missed out on securing successive league titles last season after another stunning campaign which saw the team finish level on points with Nottingham Forest, but behind the champions on goal difference.
The team did secure silverware, however, as Wolves claimed the Birmingham County Cup title for a second year running after victory over Stourbridge at Molineux.
As Wolves look ahead to another successful campaign, they begin the 2023/24 season on the road at Derby on Sunday 20st August, with the fixture last season seeing McNamara’s team run out 3-1 winners.
After a weekend of League Cup fixtures, another away tie sees Wolves travel to Burnley on Sunday 3rd September, before a first home tie will see the side in gold and black host newly-promoted Stourbridge in the midweek fixture a few days later.
Fellow promoted team Newcastle United head to New Buck’s Head on 15th October, before a first meeting with Black Country rivals West Bromwich Albion on the road the following weekend.
October will also bring around the start of the County Cup campaign as Wolves look to make it three title wins on the bounce, before 2023 ends at home to Liverpool Feds.
A first league visit to Stourbridge is scheduled to take place in February, while another Black Country derby will see Wolves host West Brom in their reverse fixture on 24th March. The league campaign is set to finish on the road at Liverpool Feds on Sunday 5th May 2024.
In addition to the league campaign, Wolves Women are also due to be competing in the National League Cup, Birmingham County Cup and Women’s FA Cup this season.
Please note, all fixtures are subject to change and any updates will be posted on wolves.co.uk.
