Women's Preview | West Bromwich Albion

Wolves Women face Black Country rivals West Brom for the third time in two months this Sunday as they do battle for a place in the final of the Birmingham FA Challenge Cup.

Sunday’s fixture is the third different competition the sides will have faced each other in this season after Wolves won 3-0 at the Alexander Stadium in the league before West Brom were 1-0 victors at the SEAH Stadium in the FA WNL Cup in January.

With league fixtures sparse for Wolves owing to the weather – they haven’t played a FA WNL fixture since December 21st – Dan McNamara’s side will hope to find momentum ahead of their scheduled fixture with Sporting Khalsa on Wednesday.

How we got here

It has been a ruthless and impressive run in their previous two games in the competition for Wolves to get to this stage, scoring a whopping 20 goals without reply. The Old Gold stormed past Hednesford with twelve goals at Keys Park, before slotting eight past a young Birmingham City PGA side earlier this year.

Venue Information

The match will take place at the Alexander Stadium, Birmingham, on Sunday at 1pm. Free parking is available on site as directed by stewards.

Tickets

Tickets are available on the gate at the following prices:

£6 Adults, £5 Seniors (65+), £5 20-25s, £4 Under-20s, £3 Under-17s, £2 Under-14s, £5 Disabled.

Next Up

Should the weather gods be in Wolves’ favour, they will finally return to league action on Wednesday 18th February when they make the short trip to Sporting Khalsa in an 8pm kick-off.
