Women's Preview | Derby County

Wolves Women return to the SEAH Stadium on Sunday when they welcome Derby County in the FA WNL looking to keep on the tails of league leaders Burnley.

Just a point behind the Clarets - whom they face next week at Turf Moor - Dan McNamara's side will be hoping to make it 14 league wins in a row in front of a home crowd, who will be joining the International Women's Day celebrations at Telford

International Women's Day

At Sunday's game, Wolves Women will be celebrating International Women's Day 2026 by partnering with anti-sexism charity Her Game Too to wear dedicated warm-up t-shirts ahead of the game.

Supporters in attendance will have the opportunity to take photos with #IWD2026 pledge cards and for our younger fans, we will have some word-searches on hand to keep you entertained pre-match.

Wolves Women have also invited staff members from across the club to attend then match to take part in our celebration of women's achievements.

Setting the Scene

Wolves made the long journey to Middlesbrough last weekend, returning with three points and three goals after a 3-0 win at Stockton. That meant Wolves have 11 goals without reply in their last three matches in the league to ensure they stay just behind Burnley, who faced third placed Rugby on Sunday.

Derby County head to Telford having had a free weekend last time out. Their last match was a narrow 2-1 defeat at home to Sporting Khalsa, having drawn 1-1 at Stoke City in the midweek prior.
