Goncalo Guedes joined Wolves in the summer of 2022 following a five-year stint with Valencia, having enjoyed his most productive campaign in Spanish football.
The winger, who can also play as a central striker or number 10, became a key figure under Gennaro Gattuso, netting 13 times and recorded six assists to guide his side into the top half of La Liga.
Guedes is a product of the Benfica academy and made his senior debut at the age of 17, having been fast-tracked into the first-team.
He netted his first senior goal in September 2015, before becoming the youngest Portuguese player to net in the Champions League group stage just days later, during a period the prospect was named Segunda Liga Breakthrough Player of the Year.
Three consecutive Primeira Liga titles saw potential turn into silverware for Guedes, who earned seven team honours in total, which eventually led to a big money move to Paris Saint-Germain and a Ligue 1 title.
By the point of his move to Paris, Guedes was in the Portugal international picture, and although his time in France was brief, he returned to form at Valencia, where he bagged 36 goals and laid on 30 assists in 176 appearances.
During his first six months in the Wolves first-team, Guedes found the net twice, at Molineux against Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League, as well as away at Liverpool in the FA Cup, before he spent time out on loan, firstly with boyhood club Benfica during 2023, before another La Liga return with Villarreal.
